Marcell Ozuna Not In Tuesday's Lineup
2 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder/designated hitter Marcell Ozuna (wrist) is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers. Ozuna won't play the day after leaving early on Monday when he was hit in the right wrist by a pitch. Thankfully, X-rays came back negative, so Ozuna is listed as day-to-day and could return as early as Wednesday. It remains to be seen if he'll be available off the bench on Tuesday, but the Braves probably want to give him at least one day off. Eddie Rosario is serving as the designated hitter and batting fifth, while Kevin Pillar is in left field and hitting in the eight-hole against Tigers right-hander Reese Olson. Ozuna is in the midst of a nine-game hitting streak to begin the month of June, going 12-for-29 (.414) with three doubles, two homers and seven RBI, so hopefully he returns soon.
