Andrew McCutchen Records 2,000 Career Hits
1 year agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen made history during Sunday's game against the New York Mets. The veteran outfielder singled for his 2,000th career hit during Sunday's 2-1 victory. He joins Miguel Cabrera, Joey Votto, Nelson Cruz and Elvis Andrus as the fifth active major leaguer with 2,000 hits. The 36-year-old has been surprisingly solid for the Pirates this season. It appears a move back to Pittsburgh has helped his bat in 2023. He's slashing .265/.381/.423 with eight home runs and 23 RBI in 52 games this season.
