Nikola Jokic Battles Through Ankle Sprain And Foul Trouble
2 years agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic put together another fabulous line in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against Miami Friday despite hurting his right ankle and missing a large chunk of the fourth quarter with foul trouble. Jokic rolled his ankle in the first quarter when he landed on the foot of Miami's Max Strus during a battle for a rebound. He left for the locker room but didn't stay out for long and was able to log 37 minutes in the contest despite the injury. Jokic ended up notching 23 points with 12 rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocks. He became the first player in league history to post at least 500 points, 250 rebounds and 150 assists in a single postseason, and Jokic will now look to lead his troops to the Finals win in Monday's Game 5 with Denver 3-1 up in the series.
