Rondale Moore 2023 Outlook: The New No. 2 In Arizona?
2 years agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore enters the 2023 season as the potential No. 2 option for the team's passing attack. With veteran DeAndre Hopkins off the roster, the depth chart ahead of the 23-year-old is thin. Marquise Brown is the clear top option for quarterback Kyler Murray and anyone else who needs to step under center for Arizona this year. However, the remaining options behind Brown are lackluster at best. When healthy last season, Moore averaged 5.1 receptions, seven targets, 51.8 yards, and 8.4 fantasy points per game. In any PPR format, the third-year receiver was a decent FLEX option. The Arizona offense will struggle this year with Murray recovering from an ACL injury, and many analysts are ranking them toward the bottom of the league. However, with tight end Zach Ertz's (ACL, MCL tear) chances to start the season healthy in question and no other reliable target on the roster outside of Brown, Moore seems set up to receive a solid target share and can max out as the No. 2 target in this version of the Cardinals offense. The young receiver should be considered a WR4/FLEX option heading into August.
