Jon Gray Registers 12 Strikeouts In Complete-Game Loss Wednesday
2 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Jon Gray was delivered a 1-0 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals after tossing a complete-game gem Wednesday. Gray struck out 12 St. Louis batters while allowing no walks in over nine innings thrown. He only allowed four hits during the contest. Unfortunately, one of those four hits was a solo home run from Alec Burleson in the eighth inning which proved to be the game-winning run, as Texas could not produce any offense. Despite the loss, The 31-year-old has an excellent 2.32 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and has struck out 63 strikeouts over 73 2/3 frames.
