2 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays placed second baseman Brandon Lowe (back) on the 10-day injured list on Monday with lower-back inflammation and recalled infielder/outfielder Vidal Brujan from Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move. Lowe will head to the injured list after missing Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox. The 28-year-old's injury isn't considered very serious, so there's a chance he'll be able to return after the 10 days. Although Lowe has nine home runs and 29 RBI in 176 at-bats this year, he's only hitting .199 (35-for-176) with 24 walks and 63 strikeouts. Fantasy managers in mixed leagues shouldn't feel compelled to hold onto him if they have other needs. Brujan is getting the start at the keystone on Monday and is hitting eighth against Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
