Alex Kirilloff Scratched Due To Illness
2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Alex Kirilloff (illness) was scratched from the lineup on Sunday against the Cleveland Guardians due to an illness. Kirilloff has only played in 26 games so far this year because of injury, but now that he's back, he's been hitting well with a .304 average (24-for-79) with four doubles, three home runs, nine RBI and 12 runs scored in 98 plate appearances. As long as the 25-year-old left-handed slugger remains healthy, he should be rostered in mixed fantasy leagues. With Kirilloff sidelined on Sunday in the series finale against Cleveland, Kyle Garlick is starting in left field and is hitting eighth in the batting order against Guardians right-hander Triston McKenzie, who is making his first start of the season.
