Zamir White 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Primed To Be Top Handcuff To Jacobs
2 years agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Zamir White had a quiet rookie campaign after being selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, rushing just 17 times for 70 yards and no touchdowns. Josh Jacobs was utilized as the pure bell cow in the Raiders' offense, handling 393 touches in his Pro Bowl campaign. He will again be expected to handle a massive touch-share, but that could mean he's more likely to get banged up in 2022. Even if he misses a game or two, White will be worth rostering in deep leagues. The 6'0", 215-lb Georgia product has workhorse size too, so there's a real chance he gets big-time volume if he's called to action in his sophomore season. Ultimately, stashing handcuffs with paths to workhorse volume is often more valuable than rostering backup tight ends or WR3s on bad offenses. White could have another season of irrelevance, but all it takes is one unfortunate injury to Jacobs for him to become the top priority waiver add at a moment's notice.
