2 years agoAccording to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune, Padres shortstop Xander Bogaerts (wrist) is expected to return to the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale with the Yankees. The veteran has been battling his latest installment of pre-existing wrist discomfort for a few weeks, an injury he suffered in 2017 after getting hit by a pitch. Fortunately, he still appeared on Saturday by serving as a pinch hitter. Bogaerts received a cortisone shot in the wrist during spring training. However, it was a short-term solution, so fantasy managers will probably have to deal with an occasional night off moving ahead, assuming things don't get worse.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
