2 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India is back in the leadoff spot for a Friday matchup against the Chicago Cubs and left-hander Justin Steele. India has been in the three-hole a few times this week against right-handed pitching, but the Reds apparently prefer him hitting leadoff against lefties. First baseman Spencer Steer will hit third for Cincy on Friday. India has been solid for his fantasy managers this year, but he's hitting .231 (12-for-52) with two doubles and no home runs in the last 14 days. He also hasn't been quite as good against southpaws with a .250 average (12-for-48) with only three doubles and one homer in 57 trips to the plate against them. But out of the leadoff spot in 2023, he's hitting a strong .290 (51-for-176) with 14 doubles and three homers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
