Jonathan India Hitting Third Thursday
2 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India is hitting out of the No. 3 spot in the batting order on Thursday against right-hander Miles Mikolas and the St. Louis Cardinals. India has mostly hit leadoff for the Reds in 2023, but outfielder TJ Friedl will be in the top spot in the matinee game on Thursday. The former Rookie of the Year could have more opportunities to drive in runs for the Reds in the three-hole. The 26-year-old hasn't shown much power (three home runs), but he's hitting a strong .290 (53-for-183) with 14 doubles, 18 RBI, eight stolen bases and 40 runs scored in 49 games played. India has been great in May with a .293 average (24-for-82) with six doubles, two homers and seven RBI in 21 games.
