Evan Hull 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Should See Work In First Four Games
1 year agoIndianapolis Colts rookie running back Evan Hull was selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Hull was extremely productive both on the ground and through the air at Northwestern, and will likely form a committee with Zack Moss and Deon Jackson over the first four games with Jonathan Taylor remaining on the PUP list. Hull projects to factor into the backfield as a pass-catching back, making him worth a late-round dart throw in PPR leagues. He should be on the field early this season and could even earn a role alongside Jonathan Taylor should Taylor return to Indianapolis. While the Colts' backfield is hard to get a read on without Taylor, Hull has the most upside given that we have not seen him play in the NFL yet and that he was dominant in a tough Big Ten in college. If anyone is to emerge down the stretch as a lead back in this backfield post-Taylor, Hull has the best shot out of the running backs currently on the roster.
