We have a full day of baseball today on the docket. This includes split DFS slates and an opportunity to bet on teams and players all day. We don't have many aces on today's slate, making it an offense-centric type of day. We have a game in Coors Field and many other spots that will make today a great day of baseball. I struggled a bit today with K props but got creative with a single-game parlay for you all.

In this article, I'll provide my favorite prop bets for MLB games on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. I will continue to hone in on K props first, as they are the most lucrative, and we will follow that with my patented stolen base props. Let's look at some of the best MLB player props worth wagering on for today's games without further ado! Follow me on Twitter @CaseyW22 for more free betting and DFS advice.
Joe Ryan OVER 6.5 strikeouts (-134 FanDuel Sportsbook)
Joe Ryan has been outstanding this year and has become an ace. He comes into today's start with a 3.01 SIERA, 30.4% K, 14.7% SwStr, and a 3.7% BB. In other words, those numbers are elite. The swinging strike is one of the best in baseball. Ryan has also thrown 100, 102, and 94 pitches in his last three starts. He has struck out seven or more in four of his previous five starts.
Today he faces one of the best strikeout matchups in baseball in the San Fransisco Giants. The Giants own a 25.0% K, good for the fifth worst in baseball. Their projected lineup for today is at 25.2% K. There is only one player below 20% K, LaMonte Wade Jr. They also will roll out at least three to four right-handed bats. Joe Ryan has a 35.8% K against that handiness compared to a 24.3% K against lefties. This is the safest K prop on the board.
Zac Gallen OVER 6.5 strikeouts (+105 DraftKings Sportsbook)
I will be the first to admit that K props on today's slate are a bit gross. I think the number on Gallen here at 6.5 is correct, but I like on DraftKings that we are getting plus odds. Gallen has a 3.11 SIERA, 29.9% K, and a 12.5% SwStr. He has gotten seven or more strikeouts in six of his ten starts this season. His matchup against the Phillies is about league average. They have a 23.0% K against right-hand pitching this season. In a matchup that should hit 60% of the time, being able to get plus odds makes this a lucrative bet for me.
Matthew Boyd 4+ strikeouts + Zack Greinke 3+ strikeouts (+125 DraftKings Sportsbook)
I have a single-game parlay for you all for our last K prop. We are combining Matthew Boyd and Zack Greinke for less in our last prop. Matthew Boyd has a 19.8% K but a 13.0% SwStr. He has four or more strikeouts in five of the previous eight starts this season. Zac Greinke has a 16.7% K and a 7.6% SwStr. He has three or more strikeouts in eight of ten starts this season.
The Royals own a 21.4% K against left-hand pitching this season. I am encouraged by the swinging strike here for Boyd in this matchup, and he can get four strikeouts against the Royals. The Tigers own a 23.4% K against right-hand pitching this season. The fact that Greinke has got three strikeouts in 80% of his starts this year makes me feel like this is a lock. Greinke is also a much better pitcher at home. Combining the two, although it's a bit gross, we are getting plus odds.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Teoscar Hernandez OVER 1.5 total bases (+115 DraftKings SportsBook)
Once again, I'm writing up TeOscar Hernandez against a bad lefty. That seems about right. Hernandez will face Ken Waldichuk tonight at T-Mobile Park. Waldichuk enters tonight's start with a 5.55 SIERA and only a 17.7% K. He has struggled this season against right-handed bats to a .405 wOBA, .270 ISO, 42.1% FB, and a 37.3% hard hit. Conversely, Hernandez has crushed left-handers this year to a .295 wOBA, .295 ISO, and 35.7% hard hit. This is a perfect matchup for him against a bad Oakland bullpen as well if he can't get two total bases against Waldichuk.
