Justin Verlander Looks Fantastic On Sunday
2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Justin Verlander made easy work of the Cleveland Guardians during Sunday's contest. The 40-year-old gave up a solo home run to Jose Ramirez in the first inning. After that, Verlander settled in and shut down the Guardians for the rest of the game. He went eight innings, three hits allowed, one earned run, and five strikeouts in the 2-1 victory. Verlander currently holds a 3.60 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 20/5 K/BB ratio through four starts this season. His next start will be against the Rockies in Colorado on Sunday.
