2 years agoThe San Francisco Giants placed catcher Joey Bart (groin) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to May 18) on Friday with a left-groin strain and recalled former first-round catcher Patrick Bailey from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move. The team also designated outfielder Cal Stevenson for assignment and placed outfielder Heliot Ramos (oblique) on the 60-day injured list. The 26-year-old Bart has hit just .231 (18-for-78) with five doubles, no home runs, four RBI and eight runs scored in 26 games played this year. With him out, Bailey, the team's No. 11 prospect per MLB Pipeline, and Blake Sabol figure to share catching duties in San Fran. Bailey was hitting a weak .196 with two home runs and four RBI in 51 at-bats for Sacramento.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
