Mason Miller Has Mild UCL Sprain
2 years agoThe Oakland Athletics announced on Tuesday that right-hander Mason Miller (elbow) was diagnosed with a mild UCL sprain, according to Martin Gallegos of MLB.com. He'll begin a throwing program when there are no more symptoms of the ailment, but the team still isn't sure if the 24-year-old will pitch again this season. It's an unfortunate injury for Miller, who was in his rookie season and putting up solid numbers. Over four starts, the prospect owned a 3.38 ERA, 25.9% strikeout rate, and 0.98 WHIP through 21.1 innings. Miller's likely safe to drop in every league now, excluding dynasty formats, as there are significant volume concerns even if he returns in 2023.
