Bryce Young Impresses At Rookie Minicamp
2 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich came away impressed with rookie quarterback Bryce Young's handling of the offense during his first practice with the team on Friday. The first overall pick of this year's NFL draft quickly transitioned from working inside the team's practice bubble to taking snaps under center. Young looked cool and collected and like he'd done it before. "Honestly — I don't want to overdo it on the first day — but he did every little thing right," Reich said. Young and wideout Jonathan Mingo are showing some early chemistry together. While Young is expected to open organized team activities behind Andy Dalton on the depth chart, the rookie is fully expected to be Carolina's Week 1 starter at QB.
