2 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher James Paxton (hamstring) is set to make his season debut against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday. The left-hander has been sidelined for the first six weeks of the season due to a left hamstring strain. He missed all of last season while recovering from Tommy John surgery. Before that, Paxton was a reliable option on the mound, but it's uncertain what he has left in the tank.
