Michael Porter Jr. Records A Second Straight Double-Double
2 years agoDenver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. maintained his double-double form in Sunday's Game 4 against the Suns, notching 11 points and 10 rebounds in a 129-124 loss. He now has double-doubles from back-to-back games and from three of his last five outings. Porter Jr. added four assists, one steal and one block on Sunday, but his shooting could have been a lot better, with the 24-year-old hitting only 4-for-13 from the field and 2-for-9 from downtown. The Nuggets dropped both games in Phoenix despite team leaders Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray playing out of their skin, which points to the fact that the supporting cast, including Porter Jr., has to do better for the team to advance to the Western Conference Finals. Porter Jr. is averaging only 12.0 points in the series, shooting below 42 percent from the field.
