Corbin Carroll Penciled In To Start Against Nationals
2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said that he has outfielder Corbin Carroll (knee) "penciled into the lineup today" on Friday against the Washington Nationals and right-hander Josiah Gray. Carroll hasn't played since injuring his knee last weekend, but Lovullo is hoping he'll make his return to the lineup on Friday night. The 22-year-old went 1-for-2 with a run scored and a strikeout after he entered Wednesday's game as a pinch-hitter, so he's obviously getting close to a return. Fantasy managers should check back for Arizona's official lineup on Friday night, but there's a good chance Carroll will be back in there. He's hitting .313 (31-for-99) with eight doubles, a triple, four home runs, nine RBI, 10 steals and 20 runs scored in 29 games and is a must-start when he's active.
