Christopher Morel To Remain In Triple-A
2 years agoChicago Cubs infielder Christopher Morel is one of the hottest hitters in the minor leagues right now. That being said, there is talk that the Cubs should call up the 23-year-old to the big league roster. He's well deserving of the call up, but the team plans to keep Morel at Triple-A for the moment. Manager David Ross said the reasoning for that is because the Cubs don't have a spot for Morel to play everyday right now. The team would rather have Morel get everyday playing time in the minors until he's needed on the big league roster. Although, it's tough to ignore his .343 batting average with 11 home runs and 28 RBI in 25 games with Triple-A Iowa.
