Ricky Stenhouse Jr Will Have To Adapt To New Pit Crew, Starts 33rd at Talladega
2 years agoThis year's Daytona 500 champion, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., hasn't had a great start to his GEICO 500 Talladega weekend. First, it was announced that Stenhouse would be losing his normal pit crew, as Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing--who provides the pit crews for JTG Daugherty Racing, whom Stenhouse races for--decided to swap the pit crews that service the cars for Chris Buescher and Ricky Stenhouse. At Martinsville last weekend, Stenhouse's pit crew was the 6th-fastest while Buescher's was the 33rd-fastest. That's quite a difference. Additionally, Stenhouse had a poor qualifying effort for Sunday's race at Talladega, and will have to start from back in 33rd. He's a previous winner at this race track, though, and has posted six top 5 finishes in 19 career starts at this track.
