Joel Embiid's MRI "Did Not Turn Out Well"
2 years agoAccording to the 76ers head coach Doc Rivers, center Joel Embiid (knee) has "pain and swelling" behind his right knee. Even worse, Rivers added that the MVP candidate's MRI "did not turn out well." The update comes after ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Friday night that the team was "optimistic" Embiid could return early next week. However, things don't sound promising, so there's a chance Philadelphia will be without its superstar for Game 5 on Monday, assuming the series goes in that direction. If that's the case, Paul Reed, who got the start in Game 4, may continue to draw attention from DFS managers.
