Daulton Varsho Taking A Day Off
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays catcher/outfielder Daulton Varsho is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays. It will be Varsho's first day off of the season in his first year with the Blue Jays. The 26-year-old has so far hit .264 (14-for-53) with three doubles, one home run, four RBI, three stolen bases and 10 runs scored in 63 plate appearances and 15 games for Toronto and fantasy managers. He's extremely valuable in fantasy because of his power/speed combination with catcher eligibility. Jordan Luplow is in right field and is hitting eighth on Sunday, while Whit Merrifield gets the start in left field and hits sixth against Rays left-hander Shane McClanahan in the series finale.
