Giants Hope Michael Conforto Will Return Monday
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (calf) remains out of the starting lineup on Sunday against the Detroit Tigers and wasn't able to run on Saturday, but manager Gabe Kapler said that the team is hopeful he will return to the starting lineup on Monday against the Miami Marlins. The 30-year-old left-handed hitter will miss his third straight game while dealing with tightness in his left calf, but fantasy managers should be getting him back to begin next week. With Conforto out again Sunday, Heliot Ramos is starting in right field and batting eighth against Tigers left-hander Matthew Boyd. Conforto is off to a bit of a slow start in his first year with the Giants, going 9-for-41 (.220) with three home runs, six RBI, one stolen base and nine runs scored in 13 games played.
