2 years agoThe Atlanta Braves recalled infielder Vaughn Grissom from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday and officially placed infielder Orlando Arcia (wrist) on the 10-day injured list with a fractured left wrist. With Arcia out for an extended period of time, Grissom is expected to handle the primary shortstop duties after hitting .291 with five home runs, 18 RBI, five stolen bases and 24 runs scored in 41 games for the Braves in his rookie season in 2022. The 22-year-old is a work in progress with the glove, which is why Atlanta opted to start him in the minors in 2023, but he can make noise for fantasy managers with his bat. He was hitting .366 with a home run and two steals at Gwinnett before the call-up, and he's worth snagging off the waiver wire immediately.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
