2 years agoBuffalo Sabres forward Tage Thompson (upper body) has been ruled out for Friday's season finale against Columbus. He left Thursday's contest against Ottawa early and has been banged up for a couple of weeks now, and there's no point in keeping him in the lineup with nothing left to play for Friday. Thompson had a huge breakthrough campaign in 2022-23 with 47 goals and 84 points in 78 outings. It's the eighth-most goals a Sabres player has ever scored in a single season. He also became the sixth player in franchise history with at least 20 power-play goals in a season and posted 34 points with the man advantage overall.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
