Adley Rutschman Hits First Career Walk-Off Homer
2 years agoBaltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman went 1-for-5 with a walk-off home run in an 8-7 win over the Oakland Athletics. Rutschman crushed a 1-0 offering from Trevor May in the bottom of the ninth to send the fans home happy. The sophomore backstop is now slashing .373/.467/.627 with four homers early in the season. His 9:9 K:BB ratio speaks to his outstanding approach at the plate. The sky is the limit for the 25-year-old, and that high ceiling comes with a relatively high floor considering his plate discipline. He should continue to be a fantasy standout at a weak catcher position.
