Starling Marte Returns On Tuesday
2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (neck) is back in the team's starting lineup on Tuesday against left-hander Ryan Weathers and the San Diego Padres. Marte is starting in right field and is hitting second in the batting order. The 34-year-old veteran suffered a minor neck strain while stealing on Sunday against the Miami Marlins, but the injury only kept him out for one game on Monday. Fantasy managers will want to get him back into their lineups in single-year leagues. Marte can do a little bit of everything for you while racking up counting stats near the top of a potent Mets lineup. The two-time All-Star is currently hitting .303 (10-for-33) with three doubles, one home run, two RBI, four stolen bases and five runs scored in 10 games played.
