Eagles Could Go After Jahmyr Gibbs In The Draft
2 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles are unlikely to draft Texas running back Bijan Robinson, the consensus No. 1 RB in this year's draft. In his 12 previous drafts, general manager Howie Roseman has never taken a running back in the first round. While they probably won't take an RB at No. 10 overall in the first round, RB remains a position of interest for the Eagles heading into the draft. There's no clearer path to playing time in Philly than at RB with Kenneth Gainwell the top back currently. Rashaad Penny has never played a full season due to injuries. Alabama's Jahmyr Gibbs makes the most sense with the profile of a third-down back late in the first round or early in the second round for Philly. Other options include Devon Achane, Zach Charbonnet, Tyjae Spears, Tank Bigsby and Roschon Johnson.
