2 years agoAtlanta Braves left-hander Max Fried (hamstring) has been throwing off the mound without incident, but he hasn't put full stress on his injured leg yet while doing fielding drills and covering first base, according to manager Brian Snitker. Fried landed on the 15-day injured list after tweaking his hamstring on Opening Day against the Washington Nationals. He allowed a run on four hits while walking none and striking out two in only 3 1/3 innings on March 30 before departing early in his only start of the regular season so far. Barring a setback as he works his way back, Fried should have a chance to return to the Braves rotation before the calendar flips May. The 29-year-old southpaw is Atlanta's ace and should be stashed in all fantasy leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
