Joey Gallo Still Sidelined
2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Joey Gallo (side) remains out of action in the series finale against the Houston Astros on Sunday. Gallo has been dealing with right side soreness for a bit now and was removed as a precaution from Friday's game, and he hasn't played since. The good news is that the 29-year-old's MRI exam didn't show anything serious, so he's day-to-day for now and could avoid a trip to the injured list. Fantasy managers are hoping he can get back in the lineup sooner than later, as he already has three home runs and seven RBI in his first seven games with the team. With Gallo still out, Matt Wallner will make the start in right field and hit seventh against Astros right-hander Hunter Brown on Sunday. It will be Wallner's first start of 2023 after playing in 18 games in 2022 in his rookie season.
