Joe Musgrove Likely To Make One More Rehab Start
2 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Joe Musgrove (toe) is likely to make at least one more minor-league rehab start after giving up three runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out six for Triple-A El Paso on Thursday in 4 1/3 innings. Musgrove is rehabbing from a fractured left big toe, and manager Bob Melvin said that Ryan Weathers, who took Musgrove's rotation spot, has earned another start, likely on Monday against the New York Mets. Musgrove is eligible to come off the injured list to make his 2023 debut as soon as April 11. The 30-year-old had one of the best seasons of his career in 2022 with the Padres and needs to be stashed in all fantasy leagues with his debut just around the corner.
