Evan Phillips Records Another Save Thursday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-hander Evan Phillips notched his second save of the season on Thursday when he pitched a clean ninth inning with a strikeout to close out the 5-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. He now has a save in back-to-back games and is pitching well thus far, allowing no runs with one strikeout and no walks across three innings. Phillips came into the season as the assumed closer, and these last two games have proved that assumption to be true. Fantasy managers need to hold on to the 28-year-old and take advantage of the save opportunities he'll receive pitching for a top team in baseball.
