Patriots Not Shopping Mac Jones
2 years agoThe New England Patriots haven't approached teams with the idea of trading quarterback Mac Jones, according to several high-ranking executives from QB-needy teams in both the AFC and NFC. Although Jones' relationship with head coach Bill Belichick might be rocky after last year's disappointing season, the Patriots might just be gauging Jones' value on the QB market this offseason. Jones has a decent share of trade value, as he had a productive rookie campaign and remains under team control for at least three more seasons, including the fifth-year option. If Jones were viewed as a more readily available commodity, there'd be more interest in him. Hopefully, the addition of offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien in 2023 will help Jones bounce back, but fantasy managers should consider him nothing more than a low-end QB2.
