Brandon Lowe Sitting Against Lefty Wednesday
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against left-hander Patrick Corbin and the Washington Nationals. Lowe returned to Tampa's lineup on Monday after a toe injury, but he'll get the day off on Wednesday against a southpaw. The 28-year-old left-handed hitter is off to a slow start in his first five games, going 3-for-15 (.200) with three walks and five strikeouts in 18 plate appearances. With Lowe getting a breather, Taylor Walls draws into the lineup at second base and will hit seventh against Corbin. In 201 big-league games to this point, Walls has a .184/.281/.287 slash line with only nine homers and 48 RBI, so he'll be a low-upside DFS play.
