2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Lars Nootbaar (thumb) remains out of the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Atlanta Braves. Nootbaar jammed his thumb while sliding into third base during Thursday's season opener. He hasn't been able to play since then, but the team doesn't believe that Nootbaar will require a trip to the injured list. In the meantime, Alec Burleson will cover left field and bat second versus right-hander Charlie Morton on Monday.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
