Marvin Bagley III Injures His Neck Sunday
2 years agoDetroit Pistons forward/center Marvin Bagley III left Sunday's 128-102 loss to Orlando early with neck soreness. The team initially regarded him as doubtful to return after Bagley took a knee to the back of his head from teammate Jalen Duren, but he never reappeared on the court and ended up playing for just nine minutes. Eugene Omoruyi started the second half in Bagley III's place and had himself 19 points in 28 minutes. He added two rebounds, two assists and two steals, although Omoruyi's shooting was very inefficient, with him finishing only 3-for-11 from deep and 6-for-17 overall from the field. He could play a big role again Tuesday versus Miami if Bagley III isn't available.
