Scott McGough Notches First Save
2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Scott McGough picked up his first save of the season on Sunday. The right-hander recorded the final two outs to secure the victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers. On Friday, the D-Backs turned to lefty Andrew Chafin to record the save in the ninth. This time around, Chafin got the final out of the eighth inning and the first out in the ninth before handing it over to McGough. The 33-year-old struck out Chris Taylor and got Jason Heyward to ground out to end the game. The expectation is that McGough will get a majority of the save chances with Chafin mixed in when the situation is favorable to him.
