2 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Robbie Ray (hip) has been placed on the 15-day injured list. This is bad news after Ray struggled during his season debut. The left-hander allowed five runs (three earned) with four hits and five walks allowed on Friday. As of now, the Mariners haven't announced how long Ray is going to be sidelined. In the meantime, they've recalled left-hander Gabe Speier from Triple-A. However, he's expected to pitch out of the bullpen until the Mariners figure out how to fill their void in the starting rotation. This is obviously a blow to fantasy managers who took Ray early in drafts.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
