2 years agoIt's been a weak start to the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season for Austin Dillon, who posted a career-high 11 top 10 finishes last season. Thus far through six races this year, Dillon has just one top 10 result (a 9th-place finish at Auto Club) along with four finishes of 20th or worse. There's reason to be optimistic for him this weekend at Richmond Raceway, though. Dillon has ended up 11th or better in six of his last eight starts at this track, and he wound up finishing 16th at Phoenix a few weeks ago, which is a similar track type to Richmond. Austin Dillon will have some work to do on Sunday, though, as he will start from way back in 27th when the Toyota Owners 400 goes green.--Jordan McAbee
