2 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani was in midseason form in his Opening Day start on Thursday night against the Oakland Athletics, striking out 10 in six innings in a no-decision. Ohtani allowed no runs and only two hits while walking three in his first outing of the regular season. The two-way Japanese superstar didn't disappoint in a great matchup, but the Angels continued their trend from last year of not giving Ohtani much run support in the no-decision. The 28-year-old also went 1-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts as a hitter in the game. Ohtani is a must-start as a starting pitcher every time he toes the rubber for the Halos.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
