Gerrit Cole Nasty In Opening Day Win
2 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Gerrit Cole had an immaculate Opening Day start on Thursday, tossing six shutout innings in a win over the San Francisco Giants. Maybe even more impressively, he struck out 11 Giants while allowing just three hits and two walks. Cole is looking to improve on his already great 2022 season, as he pitched to a 3.50 ERA, a 1.02 WHIP, and had a 257:50 K:BB ratio over 200 ⅔ IP. If he can limit runs a little bit better, he has a very good shot at being the best pitcher in fantasy baseball.
