2 years agoThe Carolina Panthers re-signed kicker Eddy Pineiro to an undisclosed two-year deal on Thursday, according to a source. Pineiro will return for his second season in Carolina after going 33-for-35 on his field-goal tries and 30-for-32 on extra-point attempts in 17 games. In addition to 2022 being his best in his third NFL campaign, Pineiro also went 15-for-16 from 40-plus yards. Even with Carolina's offense struggling to find a consistent quarterback all year, the 27-year-old was able to finish the year as a top-10 fantasy kicker. The Panthers offense could once again struggle to punch the ball into the end zone with a rookie signal-caller at the helm in 2023, so Pineiro should make a decent low-end fantasy kicking target this fall.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
