Brooks Lee Receives Praise
2 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop prospect Brooks Lee has had a near-perfect big-league camp this spring eight months after he was drafted, according to manager Rocco Baldelli. However, last year's first-rounder was optioned to minor-league camp on Saturday. The 22-year-old hit just .189/.231/.243 with two doubles and four RBI in 39 plate appearances this spring while logging 12 games at shortstop. "Nothing's ever perfect, but he did everything and showed us everything that we would be hoping to see from him," Baldelli said. Lee handled himself well in camp, and now the focus is for him to continue to develop at the 6. MLB Pipeline already considers Lee as the Twins' top prospect entering the 2023 season.
