Panthers Rookie QB To See Plenty Of Reps
2 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich said that their rookie quarterback that will be drafted with the first overall pick is "going to get a lot of reps" to give him a chance to start right away in 2023. This shouldn't come as a huge surprise, as the Panthers gave away the farm to put themselves in position to take the QB they like the most in this year's draft class at No. 1 overall. Carolina also signed veteran signal-caller Andy Dalton in free agency, but they'd prefer if their rookie quarterback earned the starting gig in training camp this summer. The Panthers have also added running back Miles Sanders, receiver Adam Thielen and tight end Hayden Hurst in free agency, which should take some pressure off whichever rookie signal-caller they take in next month's draft.
