Browns Release Jadeveon Clowney
2 years agoThe Cleveland Browns have released defensive end Jadeveon Clowney on Wednesday. The organization will eat $1.5 million in dead cap by releasing Clowney with a post-June 1 designation. The former No. 1 overall pick put together a lackluster season for the Browns in 2022. He finished with 28 tackles, four tackles for loss, and two sacks in 12 games. He'll be entering his age-30 season, but still should have something left in the tank. There should be multiple suitors for Clowney in free agency, but his inconsistent play is going to hurt his chances of a long term deal.
