Ravens Plan To Tender Tyler Huntley
2 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens will use the low restricted free-agent tender (right of first refusal) on quarterback Tyler Huntley, according to a source. Huntley was viewed as the most likely of the team's six restricted free agents to get a tender this offseason. The Ravens will have the right to match any offer sheet that Huntley signs from another organization, but they won't receive any compensation if they don't match another offer. The 25-year-old will likely stick around in Baltimore as an insurance policy in case Lamar Jackson chooses to sign with another team and the Ravens let him go. Huntley has proven to be a poor man's Jackson in real life and fantasy, with most of his value coming from his legs. In six games (four starts) in 2022, he threw for 658 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing the ball 43 times for 137 yards and another score.
