Lions Signing Cameron Sutton To Three-Year Deal
2 years agoThe Detroit Lions are signing free-agent cornerback Cameron Sutton to a three-year deal worth $33 million on Monday, according to a source. Sutton will receive $22.5 million guaranteed. The 28-year-old has been a starter for the Pittsburgh Steelers since the 2022 season after originally being taken in the third round back in 2017. He put up 43 tackles (35 solo), a career-high three interceptions and 15 passes defensed in his final year in Pittsburgh in 2022 in 16 games (15 starts). The Lions will add some much-needed depth to their secondary in the form of Sutton, who should continue to start in his new digs in 2023.
