Vikings Release Adam Thielen
2 years agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has been released by the organization on Friday. This doesn't come as much of a shock considering Thielen was set to earn nearly $20 million next season. That is the highest cap hit for any non-quarterback on the Vikings roster. Now, the 33-year-old will get a chance to test the open market this summer. The veteran wideout is clearly on the decline, but that doesn't mean he can't contribute to an NFL roster. He has scored 30 total touchdowns over the last three seasons. The two-time Pro Bowl receiver can still be a threat, but isn't worth $20 million per season. His fantasy value is likely going to depend on where he lands. However, it's unlikely he has anything more than WR3 value on any roster.
